Who studies here

School children 8–18

A common starting age for guitar and piano. Every child is different, so if you're unsure whether your child is ready, just ask. Lessons fit around school and extracurriculars.

Adult beginners

Many adults start in their thirties, forties, or later. There is no "too late."

Returners & intermediates

Adults coming back to an instrument, or wanting to push past a long-standing plateau.

Lesson questions

We can comfortably teach foundational and contemporary styles like Classic, Pop, Rock, and Metal on both guitar and piano, making it easy to cross-train or explore different styles.

Both work. In-person suits students who benefit from being in a dedicated lesson space. Online suits anyone outside Hermanus, or families where commuting is the thing that breaks consistency. Most adults are surprised by how well online works.

Yes. Regular access to a guitar or piano/keyboard at home is essential — it's where progress actually happens. We can recommend beginner-friendly options.

No, you do not need to know any music theory to begin. While you will eventually absorb the basics (like learning scales or chord construction) to help amplify your playing, many legendary guitarists play entirely by ear.
